About The Family
Ira and Alexis Hansen founded their family business in 1986 after Ira earned his contractor’s license. Born and raised in Sparks, Nevada, Ira combined his local roots, work ethic, and dedication to the trades with Alexis’s strong family values to build a company centered on hard work and community. Together, while raising their eight children, they grew the business into a trusted, family-owned operation that continues to serve Northern Nevada with pride.
Ira and Alexis' youngest daughter Larissa is the General Manager of Ira Hansen and Sons Plumbing and will one day carry on the family legacy with her husband Cody Brown as owners of IHS Plumbing. Larissa grew up surrounded by the values of hard work, integrity, and family that built the business. Born and raised in Sparks, Larissa not only helps lead the company but also serves her community as a registered nurse. Cody also born and raised in Sparks works for a local company as a heavy equipment operator, and together they are raising their daughter.
